Luke Winslade (he/him) is a freelance lighting designer, programmer, and technician, with additional expertise as a pyrotechnician. His wide range of skill sets come from progressing through the industry – from sorting kit in the warehouse to loading trucks, rigging & operating stages out in the field and now both designing and production managing these events.
Between theatre, festivals, corporate events, & educational institutes, he has a wide range of experience to help make sure your events run smoothly. Luke’s not afraid of a challenge! Whether it's budget restrictions, tight timelines, challenging and remote spaces, or if the closest kit delivery is three hours away, he enjoys finding creative solutions and ensuring the show runs smoothly.
Luke has travelled all over the UK and Europe with various tours, festivals and live events. He's particularly enthusiastic about designing for musicals, large scale festivals, and using pyrotechnics to add a spark to the projects he works on.
Much of my experience began from volunteering at a local amateur dramatics club; this includes show design, programming, and show operation. This, associated with many of my school's large-scale productions, such as Little Shop of Horrors, is how I came to learn the basics of lighting.
I then studied Technical Theatre at Leicester College, where I achieved a triple distinction. I am now working as a freelance lighting technician all over the UK and Europe.

I have been interested in photography for as long as I can remember.
When I was 4, my uncle gave me a small digital camera on holiday in La Gomera; this is where my love of photography started. Since then, I have been taking photos whenever I can.
I have been taking photos for clients for the past 2 years in and around Leicester in a street style of portraits. Also, having travelled quite a bit, I have found a love for more natural landscape photos.
